Savvy navvy stood as a part of a broader consensus among all chart providers at the RiN conference on the importance of expanding data access to improve maritime safety.

“For us, it has always been about making boating safer and more accessible. It was great to see all of us chart providers stand together, completely aligned on how increased data access can enhance safety for boaters. The clear consensus is that the industry shouldn’t lose track of the ultimate aim, which is making boating safer and more enjoyable, rather than getting stuck in endless cycles of red tape,” said Jelte Liebrand.

He was joined by representatives from the industry such as C-Map, Raymarine, TimeZero, and Navionics (Garmin). Along with speakers from the UKHO and the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), sharing insights reflecting a collective endeavour to navigate the future of maritime safety and technology.

This was Savvy Navvy's third invitation to address RiN members and key stakeholders in the UK marine sector, focusing on embracing digital advancements.
